HP Series Horns
HP Series horns are a refinement of the Constant Directivity concept, which Electro-Voice® first introduced in 1974. Horn coverage angles were made truly uniform over a wide-frequency range for the first time.
In the HP Series, unique beamwidth-control vanes in the horn throat form a waveguide that eliminates narrowing of the coverage angle - beaming - that occurs in other two-inch-throat horns. EV's patented Transplanar™ design provides exceptionally smooth frequency response. HP horns or variants thereof are used throughout EV loudspeaker lines. Each HP horn features an integral, die-cast, metal throat surrounded by fiberglass sidewalls. This provides high durability and low weight.
