PLASMA

PLASMA™ - The Plasma P1's compact, ergonomically designed enclosure houses an EVX155RMD, Kevlar®-reinforced, 15-inch, low-frequency transducer driven by a four-inch voice-coil for well-defined transients and articulate vocals at all SPLs.

The EV ND-6 neodymium, high-frequency compression driver with a three-inch voice-coil, coupled to an EV 80 degree x 55 degree horn provides extended, high-frequency response with very low distortion. A two-channel, class-H amplifier provides 700 watts of power but does not require a fan, allowing for silent operation, low maintenance, and long-term reliability. Coupled with signal processing for linear acoustic response, the Plasma P1 delivers dynamic linearity to very high SPLs. Equipped with three L-track attachment points, Plasma can also be used with its proprietary PSA-V™ (Plasma Strong-Arm-Mount-Vertical) mounting system for easy flying and precise aiming. The multi-angle enclosure is available in left and right versions, allowing a 55 degree monitor angle on stage and mirror-image monitoring.

The Plasma P2 represents a new generation of high-powered, compact subwoofers designed to extend the very low frequency-response of Plasma P1. The P2 uses a Class-H design amplifier driving an EVX180B 18-inch woofer. Its patented LPN™ (Low-Pass-Notch) filter compensates for transient distortion in dynamic signals (such as kickdrums) to achieve a higher acoustic output and more punch than expected from such a compact enclosure.

PLASMA

The Electro-Voice® Plasma P1 integrates premium EV transducers with high-power, Class-H amplification and signal processing to provide an outstanding combination of sonic detail, SPL, and ease of use. An EVX155 15-inch, low-frequency transducer uses a Kevlar®-reinforced cone with RMD® driven by a 4-inch voice coil for well-defined transient response, while maintaining articulate vocals at all SPLs. A proprietary ND6 compression driver with a three-inch diaphragm and 1.4-inch exit provides extended, high-frequency response with very low distortion. A Class-H, two-channel amplifier requires no fans for quiet operation, low maintenance, and long-term reliability. Coupled with signal processing for linear acoustic response and unobtrusive protection, the amplifier delivers the power required for high-level reinforcement. Dynamic linearity is another benefit of amplifiers designed for system integration with large-format transducer motors. L-track is embedded into the Plasma P1 to provide convenient, multi-axis suspension and attachment points for an optional suspension arm. The compact, multi-angle enclosure can be used either in monitor position (in left and right configurations) or an array. The Plasma P1 is designed for uniform coverage in both horizontal and vertical planes. It is designed for applications where the highest quality sound is required: theater, A/V, stage monitoring, and sound reinforcement. Key Features: Compact, ergonomic size l 550-watt + 150-watt dynamic output power l EVX155RMD 15-inch, low-frequency transducer l ND6 compression driver l Simple, versatile suspension l High sensitivity l 132 dB maximum SPL l Linear response, fail-safe operation with voice-coil tracking technology l Switchable, high-pass filter for use with Plasma P2 Subwoofer.
