RUST RECORDS NASHVILLE SIGNS BLACKHAWK TO LABEL
NASHVILLE, Tenn. Rust Records Nashville has signed Country music group BlackHawk to their artist roster. After the passing of founding member Van Stephenson, the band took a 4-year hiatus from the Country music scene and established a charity for Leukemia Research in Stephenson’s honor. BlackHawk returns this spring with Voices, a new CD filled with songs of hope, love and optimism. The album features the band’s characteristic three-part harmonies. Their first single, “Better at Hello,“ shipped to radio April 24, 2006m and became a quick success.
BlackHawk is made up of three seasoned musicians whose harmony, melody, and lyrical integrity continue the tradition of the original Country super group. Henry Paul has been a part of three great bands, The Outlaws, The Henry Paul Band and BlackHawk. Dave Robbins is an architect of popular music, from the songs he’s written for Eric Clapton to the unforgettable Restless Heart. Anthony Crawford, a songwriter and key band member with both Neil Young and Steve Winwood, has found his way to the doorstep of this band’s future.
