EVI Audio Japan Road Show a Great Success
EVI Audio Japan (STJP) kicked off its 2011 road show in Fukuoka on June 23, and has since visited Osaka (July 5), Nagoya (July 7), and Tokyo (July 12). The tour will be completed in Sapporo in October.
The roadshow is an annual event for that has continued for over 20 years in Japan. The 2011 event featured various presentations, demonstrations, hands-on time, and Q&A for new and key products, as well as offering general and technical topics for the pro sound business.
This year, the following topics were presented:
1. Dynacord Cobra PWH systems with FIR Tune / Dynacord Vari-Line, CXM15 floor monitors (Moto Izawa, Product Marketing Manager, ProSound)
2. Solutions for installed sound systems with EV-Innovation, NetMax, IRIS-Net, and Dante networking (Ken Ohmori, Project Sales Team, IRIS-Net-certified specialist)
3. RE320 and REV J-band wireless microphones (Yoshiaki Yamaguchi, Product Marketing Manager, Microphones)
4. Solutions for concert sound – directivity control of subwoofers. Demonstrations of XLVC and various subwoofer placements using DSP (Moto Izawa, Product Marketing Manager, ProSound)
For the Osaka and Nagoya events, Ethan Wetzell (Product Manager, Electro-Voice Signal Processing) made the trip from Minneapolis, USA to introduce attendees to the OMNEO media network solution and associated technologies, Dante, AVB, and OCA. In addition to discussing the practical advantages of OMNEO, Wetzell also addressed how Bosch will contribute to the future of the pro audio industry by leading the development of this common open communication standard. His presence and messages were enthusiastically received by all involved.
Patrick Hau also attended in Osaka / Nagoya to support the National Sales Organization.
After the pro audio presentations, the Live X loudspeaker demo and hands-on sessions were held in all four cities as a separate segment, with attendees able to focus more on the Musical Instrument retail market. In addition to the full line of Live X, the new Dynacord PowerMate3 and CMS3 mixing consoles were also demonstrated. These sessions were also enthusiastically attended.
“We had a total of 328 participants in the first four cities, and the all the shows were a great success,” says Moto Izawa of EVI Audio Japan. “Beyond the positive reinforcement this gives to our sales team, we believe that it is important to reach out to our customers in person – we really appreciate everyone coming to the events and hope they found them both informative and enjoyable.”
