Between July 9 and August 18, some 17,000 musical lovers attended an open-air festival in Stockerau, Austria. The rental company, MTR Productions, was responsible for planning and implementing the sound reinforcement. An Electro-Voice XLVC line-array and NetMax N8000 controller formed the centrepiece of the sound reinforcement concept. The Stockerau Open Air Festival, which has enriched the cultural life in a small town near Vienna for over 50 years, is one of the longest established open-air festivals in Austria.

In addition to a fixed installation above the victors’ rostrum, the production involved the provision of sound reinforcement for the fringe programme. The solutions featured XLC-DVX line-array elements with FIR Drive, Xsubs and TG7 power amplifiers.   Silverstone is as integral a part of the history of Formula One as the tyres are of the racing cars themselves; it was, after all, at this 6km course in 1950 that the first ever Formula One race was staged, and the Northamptonshire track has remained ever since one of the preferred venues for major events.

An Electro-Voice sound reinforcement solution now graces the new St Andrew's Church in Crawley, England. The installation features ZX5 loudspeakers, TX1181 subwoofers, ZX1 monitors, CPS power amplifiers and DC-One processors. Creative Audio Visual Solutions was responsible for the installation.   There has been a St Andrew's Church serving the Anglican community of Furnace Green in the West Sussex borough of Crawley (around 30 miles south of London) since 1969, but deterioration in the fabric of the original building and growing congregations called for its demolition and the construction of an entirely new church in its place seven years ago.

„  Clermont-Ferrand's principal rugby stadium now boasts a sound reinforcement system from Electro-Voice. „  Components include Sx600PIX and ZX1i-100T loudspeakers, P1200RT amplifiers, and a NetMax N8000 controller. „  The installation was performed by the Clermont-Ferrand branch of Manganelli. After soccer, rugby is France's most popular sport, with massive interest among spectators both at club and international level.

New sound reinforcement concept featuring multiple Electro-Voice line arrays. TC Showtechnik of Weilheim was responsible for the sound production at both the races and the show stage. The equipment used included XLC and XLE systems, TG7 amplifiers, and N8000-1500 matrix controllers from Electro-Voice. For two weekends running recently, Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Germany) was home the elite of the alpine skiing world: on January 28 & 29 for the men's downhill and super G, and February 4 & 5 for the women's speed disciplines.
